Roger Phillips - Owner/Firearms Instructor

Roger Phillips is the Suarez International Point Shooting Specialist.  He is the author of "Point Shooting Progressions" (PSP) and is featured in the Infidel Media training DVD under the same name.  Roger has now written seven point shooting course curriculums for Suarez International, including his flagship course PSP, PSP/FOF, PSP/Fighting at Night, Long Gun PSP, Advanced PSP, Introduction to Point Shooting, and Point Shooting Gunfight Skills.  Roger travels all over the country teaching these courses.  He is also qualified to teach numerous other Suarez International courses.

Roger has over forty years of shooting experience. His father was an avid shooter, hunter, and sportsman and got Roger involved as soon as he was big enough to pick up a rifle.  Roger has been involved in the shooting sports for virtually all of his life, from hunting, to target shooting, to trap and skeet competitions.  Roger has had extensive “tactical” training starting in 1999 and has taken over fifty courses as a student since that time.  Roger has logged over 1500 hours of formal training as a student.  These courses included intermediate and advanced courses in the use of the handgun, shotgun, rifle, submachine gun, point shooting, tactics, mindset, lowlight, hand to hand, knife, and stick.

Roger has taken numerous classes with Gabe Suarez including Close Range Gunfighting, Extreme Close Range Gunfighting, Interface Of Sighted Fire/Point Shooting, Advanced Kalashnikov Rifle Gunfighting, Kalashnikov Rifle Force on Force, Defensive Knife, Interactive Gunfighting twice, once under the old “clearing” format and once under the newer format. Roger has also trained under the top point shooters in the country.  Roger’s specialty is the seamless integration of sighted and unsighted fire into one “simply shooting” concept.  He takes this “Combat Shooting” specialty into the arena of the reactive gunfight, dynamic movement, low light, integration of hand to hand, and for those with physical limitations.
