Fight Focused Concepts is a firearms training company that puts the focus back on common sense, combat proven, and reality based self-defense. Our goal is to provide the very best information, instruction, and skill sets that we can find to help solve the complex problems of the situational based use of lethal force. The reality of a fight is that the situation is the dictating factor. Situations dictate strategies, strategies dictate tactics, and tactics dictate techniques……techniques should not dictate anything.

Fight Focused Concepts is a concept driven approach to self-defense. This allows you to be more versatile and more “well rounded” than technique focused training. This versatility will allow you to easily cover a much larger portion of the “fight continuum.” Many of the technique focused institutes curriculum are based on competition. We base our curriculum on the fight…..after all “it’s a fight!”

Fight Focused Concepts teaches you to be the very best that you can be, inside of the correct context of the fight. We take a very personal look at your situation and help you personalize a fighting system that is built around who you are. We explore your abilities, limitations, strengths, and weaknesses. We then find out exactly what you need to do, to be the very best that you can be inside of the correct context of the fight.

Fight Focused Concepts understands how busy our lives can be. We know perfectly well the financial limitations that many of us have to deal with. We specialize in teaching natural, instinctive, reflexive, and intuitive fluid concepts, that take a shorter time to learn while having long-lasting retention qualities. When it comes to training to fight for your life or the life of your loved one, you need to know that what you are learning can be learned quickly, can stay with you for a long time, and works well under the physiological effects of a life threatening confrontation.

Fight Focused Handgun I – Introduction

This is a very unique one day introduction course that simultaneously teaches sighted and unsighted fire as one connected concept. Most schools teach either sighted fire or point shooting inside of separate courses. Through my extensive experience as one of the top point shooting specialist in the nation, it has become perfectly clear to me that this is not the best way to learn fight focused handgun skill sets. In order to be as dangerous as you can possibly be with a handgun, there needs to be a seamless integration of these two distinctly different skill sets into one “just shooting” concept. This course is designed to give you the essential skills that will allow you to excel inside of many varying situations. Along with the skill sets you will also ingrain a confidence that can only be found when the correlation between the two skill sets are worked and understood simultaneously. Whether it is a proactive gunfight or a reactive gunfight you will learn the skills, knowledge, and the confidence to rise to the occasion inside of the situation that you are confronted with.

You will be introduced to the essentials of being able to fight with your handgun. This course is perfect for those that would like to be introduced to training, to my philosophy of training, and to myself.
